Pacific offers a complete range of post-warranty technical support services. These include free telephone
hardware and software support , priority software support and upgrade contracts, on-site service and
technical support contracts, annual calibration contracts and 24-hour card exchange program.
Product Warranty Information
All of Pacific's products have a one-year limited warranty. The software warranty
includes free upgrades for one year, with the option to extend the the warranty period.
Many of the systems delivered by Pacific include on-site installation and verification services.
These are done to a written procedure developed in cooperation with and approved by the customer.
Verification is usually performed at the factory and again after delivery at the customer’s facility.
These systems include IRIG-B time decoder and 1553 serial decoder at Canadair and PSI pressure scanners
at Microcraft. In addition, many of these applications required interfacing to equipment and hardware
that was an integral part of the customer’s facility, such as safety interlocks and relays that controlled
test equipment. A standard feature of PI660 software is automatic and manual routines that control external
calibration equipment.
Some facilities where installation and verification services have been provided include: Aerojet Propulsion
Systems, Sacramento, California; Raytheon Aircraft, Wichita, Kansas; ATK, Elkton, Maryland and Rocket City,
West Virginia; University of Nevada, Reno, Nevada; Field Command, Defense Threat Reduction Agency, White Sands,
New Mexico; National Center of Research for Earthquake Engineering, Taipei, Taiwan and Aerospace Industrial
Development Corporation, Taichung, Taiwan.
System Integration
System integration and software development are requirements of supplying turnkey systems.
Often it requires custom designed operator interfaces, integration of third-party hardware and software and
the design of custom test and operating procedures. The Component Module Dynamic Link Library (CMD) simplifies
system integration, giving Pacific a competitive advantage in many turnkey systems. Programmed in friendly
Window's languages like Visual Basic, LabVIEW or "C++," the custom application draws on the PI660 DLL for menus,
toolbars, displays, analysis and acquisition processes, saving an immense amount of programming time.
The widespread availability of drivers for these languages makes integrating third-party hardware and software
relatively simple.
Training
Contact us for more information about available training courses- 925.827.9010
A three-day training course for data acquisition systems is offered bi-monthly at the factory.
Factory training for other products is provided as needed. On-site training is usually included
as a contract deliverable for new installations, but can also be supplied as needed on a time and
material or fixed price basis.
Product Certification
Training covers hardware and software theory and operation, troubleshooting, service and calibration.
For larger systems separate operational and service training is recommended and is taught by specialists
in each discipline. Every training session includes hands-on experience with the same or similar hardware
and software to that which the trainee will be using.
