DESCRIPTION
Four high-performance, fully programmable signal conditioning amplifiers for quarter, half and full bridge.
Each channel has programmable excitation, autobalance, voltage and shunt calibration, differential
instrumentation amplifier, low pass anti-aliasing filter and sample and hold amplifier. High-level
outputs are multiplexed to a 16-bit ADC.
Individual excitation regulators with remote sensing make the 6032 ideal for use with long input cables.
Using remote sensing excitation voltage can be set and regulated at the transducer. An eight-wire,
shielded input has dedicated shunt calibration leads or internal shunt can be selected. Excitation
voltage can be measured during calibration or the optional excitation monitor continuously digitizes
and samples the excitaion for each channel. The standard filter is a 4-pole, Butterworth with plug-in
frequency selection. Optionally available is a programmable, 4-pole Butterworth filter with 10 frequency
steps per decade. Each channel has a continuous analog output.
| Unless noted, specifications apply to each channel individually |
| Input |
Two to eight wires with shield with programmable completion for 120 and 350 Ohm quarter, half and full bridge transducers.
Input connector is 50-pin Type D Subminiature. |
| Excitation |
0 to +12 Volts in 1 ±0.1% Volt steps, 50 mA individually set and regulated for each channel. Stability is ±0.01%,
line and load regulation are ±0.01% using remote sensing. Calibration mode measures excitation voltage using the
amplifier. A short on one channel does not affect other channels. |
| Excitation Monitor (Option EM) |
Supplemental channel measures excitation using 16-bit ADC, 0.1% accuracy. Dedicated alarms may be used to automatically detect excitation error. |
| Balance |
Automatic to ±0.05% of range ±1 mV. Stability is ±0.01%, ±0.005%/°C. User adjustable balance range. |
| Input Range |
±2 mV to ±10 Volts full scale. Input protected to ±50 Volts. |
| Calibration |
Voltage substitution with attenuation of 1, 0.1 and 0.01. Single-step resistive shunt calibration. Shunt calibration may be applied to external gauge arm or internal completion resistor. |
| Gain |
Programmable from 1 to 5,000 in 1, 2, 3, 5, 10 steps with ±0.05% accuracy. |
| Static Accuracy |
Typically ±0.02% for gains 1 to 1,000 after calibration. |
| Common Mode |
110 dB @ gain 1,000, ±10 Volts, protected to ± 50 Volts. |
| Bandwidth |
5 kHz (-3dB) for gains <1,000, 1 kHz for
gains > 1,000. |
| Filter |
Four-pole low-pass filter with plug-in modules for 1 Hz to 1 kHz, 10 Hz, Butterworth supplied. |
| Filter (Option PF) |
Four-pole, low pass Butterworth, 10 Hz to 1 kHz programmable in 10 Hz steps from 10 to 100 Hz and in 100 Hz steps from 100 to 1 kHz. |
| Sampling |
Up to 20K samples per second per channel. Time correlation is ±50 nS. |
| ADC |
16-bits, two's complement output. |
| Analog Output |
±10 Volts full scale, wideband. |
