DESCRIPTION
Two channels of high-performance signal conditioning amplifiers for quarter, half and full bridge transducers.
May also be used for RTDs, potentiometers, dynamic strain, voltage and voltage mode (ICP type) charge transducers.
Each channel has programmable voltage or current excitation, autobalance, voltage and shunt calibration,
differential instrumentation amplifier, eight-pole low pass filter and 16-bit digitizer. A separate AC coupled
input and current source accommodates dynamic strain and voltage mode charge transducers. In addition to the
digitized output, two buffered ±10 Volt wideband or filtered analog outputs are provided.
The eight-wire, shielded input has dedicated shunt calibration and remote sense inputs. With remote sensing,
excitation voltage is regulated at the transducer, negating the effect of long cables. Signal conditioning is
programmable. There is no need to change components, jumpers or switch settings, just reprogram the transducer
type. Two calibration resistors may each be selected to shunt either a remote bridge arm or the bridge completion
resistor. Voltage substitution enables calibrating the channel using a traceable standard. Gains are programmable
from 1 to 5,000 with 0.05% resolution or using calibrated gain steps. The standard filter is a four frequency,
eight-pole, Bessel with plug-in resistor modules determining frequencies. Optionally available is a programmable,
4-pole Bessel filter with 1 Hz resolution from 4 Hz to 1 kHz and 3 Hz resolution from 1 kHz to 10 kHz.
The 6030 is available in two configurations: The basic 6030 has 50 kHz bandwidth and 100K maximum sample rate.
The 6030HF has 100 kHz bandwidth and 200K maximum sample rate. In either case, after establishing the maximum
rate, fifteen additional sample rates at binary intervals are available.
| Unless noted, specifications apply to each channel individually |
| Input, Bridge |
Two to eight wires with shield. Programmable completion for full, half and 120 and 350 Ohm quarter bridge transducers. User may install other completion resistors. Input connector is 15-pin Type D Subminiature. |
| Input, ICP |
Differential AC coupled input, -3 dB at .25 Hz. Adjustable 2 to 20 mA current source requires 28 VDC power option in the enclosure. |
