DESCRIPTION
Each channel on the 6013 has a programmable gain, differential input instrumentation amplifier,
low-pass filter and sample and hold. Sample and hold outputs are multiplexed to a 16-bit
analog-to-digital converter. A regulated, bipolar 12 or 15 Volt supply provides power for
transducers like DC LVDTs. Each channel's power is fused by a resettable polyswitch. The companion
6084 thermocouple junction box has a precision temperature sensor that when used together with the
6013 performs cold junction referencing.
| Unless noted, specifications apply to each channel individually |
| Thermocouple |
B, C, E, J, K, N, R, S and T thermocouples. Cold junction reference (6084) supplies 10 mV/°C from 0°K that is digitized as
the 9th channel. Accuracy is ±0.25 °C over the range +10° to +50° C (junction box temperature). |
| DC LVDT |
±12 or ±15 VDC, 100 mA per channel or 500 mA per module. Protected by 200 mA resetable fuse. Line and load regulation is 0.1%. |
| Input |
2-wire differential with shield. ±2 mV to ±10 Volts full scale. Input protected to ±50 Volts. |
| Attenuator |
±200 mV to ±200 Volts with optional attenuator. Accuracy is ±0.02%. |
| Calibration |
Voltage substitution with attenuation of 1, 0.1 and 0.01. |
| Gain |
Programmable from 1 to 5,000 in calibrated steps of 1, 2, 3, 5, 10 ... 5,000 with ±0.05% accuracy plus fine adjustment with 0.05% resolution. |
| Static Accuracy |
Typically ±0.02% for gains 1 to 1,000 after calibration. |
| Common Mode |
110 dB @ gain 1,000, ±10 Volts, protected to ± 50 Volts. |
| Bandwidth and Filter |
1 kHz bandwidth. Four-pole low-pass filter with plug-in modules for 4 Hz to 1 kHz, 10 Hz supplied. |
| Sampling |
Up to 10k samples per second per channel. Time correlation is ±50 nS channel to channel. |
| ADC |
16-bits, two's complement output. |
| Analog Output |
±3 Volts full scale. |
