DESCRIPTION
At 5 inches high the 6010 Mainframe and 6011 Slave enclosures are for desktop or rack mounting smaller
data acquisition systems. With three input/output slots they accommodate up to 24 strain gage or bridge
transducers, thermocouples, LVDTs RTDs, voltage or current channels with amplifier per channel architecture.
For multiplexed voltage or thermocouple inputs the capacity is 48 or 96 channels. They can also be configured
with test sequencers and digital inputs and outputs.
The 6010 has an IEEE-488 control and data interface that supports data rates to 1 million samples per second.
It contains a 2 million-word ring buffer for event data capture. Like other 6000 mainframes, it supports
systems of up to 4096 channels using slave enclosures. An internal cable tray routes input and output wiring
from the module connectors to exit the rear of the enclosure providing a neat and orderly installation without
cable interference to adjacent equipment. Clear access is provided to input/output modules for installation and service.
The 6010 can be supplied shock-mounted in a ruggedized fiberglass enclosure that protects it during shipping
and field use. A PCM data output in IRIG106 format is optional.
| Capacity |
Up to 4 Series 6000 input output modules. |
| Data |
16-bits, 2's complement, formatted in two bytes, low-byte followed by high-byte. |
| Sample Rate |
Programmable with 1 µS resolution up to 1 Million samples per second. |
| Event Memory |
2 Million data words. Overwrites the oldest data until triggered. Trigger stores a specified amount of new data then stops. Any data not overwritten is pre-trigger. Trigger may be by software, alarms, digital input or TTL input. |
| GPIB Interface |
IEEE-488.2 with high-speed handshake. |
| Optional PCM Output |
Two independent buffered PCM data outputs, IRIG 106, NRZL-L, Class II with two clocks. Output and clocks are RS422. Up to 16 MBits/second. |
| Power |
115 or 230 VAC, ±10%, 47 to 63 Hz, 400 Watts. |
| Environmental |
0°C to +50°C operating. Humidity to 95% without condensation. Will withstand normal shipping and handling of laboratory instruments. |
| Size/Weight |
17 inches wide, 5 inches high, 2 inches deep, 20 pounds with full complement of channel modules. Rack mounting adapter is available. |
