On-Board, Redundant Data Recording Module Reduces Lost or Corrupted Data
Pacific Instruments, Inc. announces a new, On-Board Data Recording Module for the Series 6000 Data Acquisition Systems. Using non-volatile, COTS recording media, it stores acquired data locally while outputting the same data on a USB 2.0 interface for external recording and multi-user distribution.
The use of redundant, non-volatile recording media located in the data acquisition system substantially reduces the possibility of lost or corrupted data by eliminating the system interface and computer in the critical recording path. It is cost-effective insurance considering the price of repeating a test or in critical applications where the test may be impossible or impractical to repeat.
The new On-Board Data Recording Module (OBDRM), Model 6095, is now available and can be installed in all Series 6000 enclosures that use the USB 2.0 or Ethernet interface protocols. This module can be populated with either a hard drive with capacity up to 80GB or a solid-state drive with capacity up to 16GB. Storage capacity will increase as higher capacity drives become available. Read more...
